Organized by the NGO-UNESCO Liaison Committee in close cooperation with the UNESCO Secretariat, the Eight International Forum of NGOs in official partnership with UNESCO will focus on climate change and will be held at UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France, on 7 and 8 December 2017.
During COP23, UNESCO will organize an international panel on “Ethics and Climate Change: UNESCO’s Draft Declaration of Ethical Principles in Relation to Climate Change” that will be held at the UNESCO Pavilion (E09) in Bonn (Germany), on 15 November 2017, from 1.15 p.m. to 2.30 p.m.
During COP 23 in Bonn, Germany, the Africa Department of UNESCO and its Contextual Analysis and Foresight Unit will organize the second edition of the round table entitled "Climate change: What is the impact for Africa?" on 13 November 2017, from 10:00a.m. to 12:00, at the UNESCO Pavilion.
This round table will offer a platform for international scientist panelists to testimony and exchange on climate change issues that directly affect the African continent.
In order to consolidate the work of different organizations promoting Global Citizenship Education (GCED) in the region, UNESCO, APCEIU, and KAICIID are leading the establishment of the Arab States GCED Regional Network with partner institution. A major message of the network is that there is a need to strengthen networks of organizations promoting similar GCED activities, such as training, research, policy development and material development.
Co-organized by APCEIU, Ministry of Education of the Republic of Korea, and in partnership with UNESCO HQ, the 2nd International Conference on GCED: Platform on Pedagogy and Practice will be held on 13-14 September 2017 at Sheraton Seoul D Cube City Hotel in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
